Dance is a language of the heart. It brings man closer to himself. It is at once a love of art and art of love. Dance in India originated in a remote past. It got so much woven with the web of life that life and dance has become complementary to each other. For many a soul dance is a song of the limbs, an idiom of a mood. In dance is reflected our anguish and ecstasy, our passion and disappointment, our labor and fulfillment. Through dance India has striven to bridge the gap between man and man.
